Life casting liquid silicone rubber is a skin-safe, platinum-catalyzed material designed for creating hyper-realistic reproductions. It features an easy 1:1 mix ratio and cures quickly at room temperature. Specifically engineered for prosthetics and special effects, this material is characterized by extremely low hardness and high elongation.

Once cured, the silicone rubber is exceptionally soft, elastic, and has a realistic skin-like feel, capable of capturing the finest details. It is odorless and non-toxic, making it the ideal choice for direct skin contact applications (external use only).

Surface Finish Advisory

Please be aware that the softest grades in this series (RTV-4020, RTV-4030, and RTV-4100) may cure to a slightly tacky surface due to their low hardness. This is normal and can be easily resolved by applying a light dusting of talcum powder or baby powder.

Cure Inhibition Warning

This life casting silicone is highly sensitive to contaminants. Ensure skin is clean and free of lotions or cosmetics. Avoid contact with:

  • Sulfur: Latex gloves, sulfur-based clays, natural rubber. (Use Vinyl gloves only).
  • Tin Compounds: Condensation-cure silicone residue.
  • Amines: Certain epoxy catalysts.

General Processing Notes

Skin Safety Test: Although formulated to be skin-safe, individual sensitivities vary. Always perform a small patch test on the model's skin before full application.
  • Batch Consistency: Always use Part A and Part B from the same kit and batch to ensure proper cure.
  • Mixing: Weigh Part A and Part B accurately in a 1:1 ratio. Mix thoroughly until color is uniform.
  • Degassing: While low viscosity allows natural bubble release, vacuum degassing is recommended for flawless results.
