Clear Liquid Silicone is an addition cure (platinum-catalyzed) silicone rubber compound. It consists of two parts: Part A, a thicker viscous base, and Part B, a colorless platinum curing agent with a water-like consistency. When mixed in a weight ratio of 10A:1B, the compound can cure at room temperature or faster at slightly higher temperatures.

Once cured, clear liquid silicone forms a flexible and elastic material that boasts high transparency, high tear strength, and extremely low shrinkage. Because of these properties, clear liquid silicone is an excellent choice for making molds that require intricate details and precise tolerances.
Curing Principle: The curing of clear liquid silicone is greatly affected by temperature. This is because the viscosity of clear silicone is relatively high, making it difficult for molecules to bond together. Temperature is necessary to activate the reaction between the silicone and the curing agent. As the temperature increases, the platinum catalyst becomes more active, resulting in a faster cure.
